PSO recruit charged with hooning offences

A Protective Services Officer (PSO) recruit has been charged with hooning offences.

The male recruit was charged on summons with drive manner dangerous, careless driving, drive vehicle causing loss of traction, fail to have proper control, improper use of motor vehicle and probationary licence holder use prohibited vehicle.

The charges relate to alleged hooning that occurred in Port Melbourne on 15 June.

His vehicle was also immediately impounded on the night.

The recruit has been transferred to other duties and will appear before court at a later date.
