Police have made a declaration under the Public Safety and Preservation Act this afternoon in Bluewater due to extensive flooding in the area.
The declaration was made at 4pm this afternoon and encompasses the Bluewater area from Purono Parkway, Blue Hills to the west and north to Varrall Road.
Police remain on the scene and are asking residents to please avoid the area until it is safe to return.
