Police have declared an emergent situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act at a business in Tin Can Bay, Queensland Police say.
The PSPA was declared at 9:45am following reports of a man inside a building making threats.
The man is believed to be alone and unarmed.
An exclusion zone (pictured) has been established and encompasses the western side of Groper Street to the northern side of Bass Street and King Street, the eastern side of Tin Can Bay Road to Gar Street, the northern side of Gar Street, the eastern side of The Esplanade to Parrott Street and Toolara Road.
