Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act at Sarina, in relation to a police incident this evening, May 16.
Emergency services were called around 5.19pm to a Brooks Road address in relation to a mental health related incident, and a man making threats.
An exclusion zone has been established while police respond, encompassing Brooks Road, Place Avenue, Holmes Avenue, and Petersen Street.
Police believe there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Residents within the exclusion zone are asked to stay indoors and members of the public to avoid the area, to allow police operations to continue safely.
