Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) as emergency services respond to an ongoing incident on Helen Street, Southside.
A PSPA was declared at 1.35pm after a man barricaded himself inside a home.
Residents on Helen Street, Kesteven Drive, Grant Street, and Andrea Avenue are urged to remain indoors and the public are advised to avoid the area.
Specialist police are in attendance.
