Public health alert – updated times and advice for venues

NSW Health wish to advise of expanded times and dates, and updated health advice for a venue in Sydney’s south as well as a supermarket and a liquor store in western Sydney.

Anyone who was in the gaming area for an hour or more at the below venue is a close contact and must immediately get tested and self-isolate for 14 days regardless of the result:

8:52pm – 11:30pm

Anyone else in the gaming room for less than an hour at the above times is a casual contact and should get tested and immediately self-isolate until you receive a negative result. You should continue to monitor for symptoms and if any symptoms occur, get tested again.

NSW Health previously advised exposure times for BWS Berala, with anyone attending at those times being close contacts who must immediately get tested and self-isolate for 14 days regardless of the result. This can be found on the NSW Government website.

NSW Health now advises anyone who attended the store at any other time between Sunday 20 December and Thursday 31 December (outside of the times previously advised) should get tested and immediately self-isolate until you receive a negative result. You should continue to monitor for symptoms and if any symptoms occur, get tested again.

The exposure times for the following venue has also been expanded. Anyone who attended at the listed times should get tested immediately and self-isolate until you receive a negative result:

NSW Health urges anyone in NSW with even the mildest symptoms, such as headache, fatigue, cough, sore throat or runny nose, to come forward immediately for testing, then isolate until they receive a negative result.
