As the physical restoration of City Hall nears completion, Lismore City Council is calling for Registrations of Interest (ROIs) from the community to help guide the final fit‑out and future use of this much‑loved local landmark.
Reimagined as Lismore's premium cultural, community and exhibition space, City Hall is set to play a central role in the city's creative, civic and economic life for decades to come.
Council is inviting community organisations, arts and cultural groups, businesses, education providers, venue managers, event organisers and other interested parties to share ideas on how the space could be used and operated.
This ROI is an information‑gathering exercise to better understand what event managers want from the venue, the range of activities and events that could be held, and the practical requirements needed to support them.
By inviting input, Council aims to ensure the restored City Hall reflects the aspirations of our community – from performances, exhibitions and celebrations to learning, gatherings and innovative new uses.
Insights gathered will directly inform final fit‑out decisions across the building's key spaces, including seating configurations, audio‑visual requirements, kitchen and servery design, and furniture specifications.
Submissions will also help Council explore potential operating models that ensure City Hall is accessible, flexible and sustainable into the future.
