Puppy stolen during Croydon Hills burglary

Maroondah Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after an 8-week-old puppy was stolen during a burglary in Croydon Hills on Monday morning, Victoria Police say.

The residents returned to their Croydon Hills Drive address about 11.30am to discover their home had been broken into.

A number of items had been stolen including a laptop, iPad and jewellery.

However what was most upsetting to the owners is that their Labrador puppy Sasha was missing.

Despite an extensive search of the area by her owners, Sasha wasn’t located and police suspect she was also stolen during the burglary.

It’s believed the thief entered the home between 9.30-11.30am.

Police have released images of the puppy in the hope that someone has seen her and she can be reunited with her 4-year-old owner.

Any witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
