Pursuit Charge After Doonside Crash

A man is due in court today charged after a pursuit and crash in Doonside this morning.

Officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command detected a blue hatchback shortly before 2am (Sunday 10 August 2025), allegedly being driven at speed along Eastern Road, towards Knox Road.

Police from Blacktown patrolling nearby directed the driver to stop; however, when he allegedly ignored the direction, a pursuit was initiated.

The vehicle was followed along Milson and Power roads to Judith Anderson Drive before it crashed into a home on Karuah Street.

The driver, a 20-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Blacktown Police Station where he was charged with police pursuit – not stop – drive recklessly.

The man, from Doonside, has been refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today (Sunday 10 August 2025).
