QPS launches new appeal in 2012 Rochedale South murder case

Detectives have launched a fresh public appeal to mark 10 years since the homicide of John Anthony Lazzaro at his Rochedale South home in 2012.

The 56-year-old man was shot dead at his Priestdale Road house just before 11pm on April 11, 2012.

His 19-year-old daughter, who was home at the time, was not physically harmed, however, the family's dog had to undergo surgery after it was shot during the incident.

A $500,000 reward, announced in 2019, remains on offer for any information leading to the arrest or apprehension of a person responsible for Mr Lazzaro's murder.

Investigators today released new CCTV footage of a vehicle of interest, a tray-back utility seen travelling in the area at the time of the murder. Anyone with information about the utility is urged to come forward.
