QPS Staff Member Charged, Protective Service Group

A 45-year-old man from the Queensland Police Service Protective Service Group has been issued with a notice to appear in relation to an alleged incident.

The member has been charged with sexual assault, allegedly committed while on duty.

They have been suspended from the Queensland Police Service and expected to appear in a North Queensland Magistrates Court tomorrow, 13 January 2026.

In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct.

This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.
