Canadian Coast Guard
The Canadian Coast Guard's Inshore Rescue Boat stations in Quebec are winding down seasonal maritime search and rescue services, starting September 7 at 8:00 p.m.
Stations will close progressively throughout the region, according to the following schedule:
- Saint-Anicet: Fully closed as of September 7 at 8:00 p.m.
- Trois-Rivières, Longueuil and Beaconsfield: Open on weekends only until September 27 at 8:00 p.m.
- Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac: Open on weekends only until October 12 at 8:00 p.m.
- Sorel: Fully closed as of November 30 at 8:00 a.m.
The public can report an incident 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by calling the Quebec Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre at 1-800-463-4393 or by using a marine VHF radio (Channel 16).
