Queens Park to light up for New Year's Eve

Toowoomba residents and visitors to the region will have plenty on offer this New Year's Eve with a fireworks display to again light up Queens Park.

Toowoomba Region Mayor Paul Antonio said the fireworks display would again be free and held at the family friendly timeslot of 8.15pm on Saturday night.

"We encourage families to get out and celebrate the end of 2022 with a fantastic fireworks display planned again at Queens Park.

'While there will be no prior entertainment again this year, we encourage families to grab some dinner at their favourite local eatery and bring a picnic rug to Queens Park for the 8.15pm display.

"The New Year's Eve fireworks is a much-loved family tradition and Council is proud to provide this free entertainment to celebrate the end of the year and to ring in the New Year with a bang," Mayor Antonio said.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a nearby parking spot for the Godsall Street Park display.
