A man has been extradited from Queensland on outstanding NSW warrants.
Last Friday (11 July 2025), Queensland Police – at the request of officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District – arrested a 34-year-old man where he was taken to Gladstone Police Station.
The man appeared before Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday (14 July 2025) where an extradition order was granted to NSW.
Yesterday (Tuesday 15 July 2025), the man was flown back to NSW where he was taken to Mascot Police Station and charged with six outstanding warrants for the offences of:
- Sexual assault without consent
- Posses/use prohibited weapon without permit
- Aggravated break and enter
- Stalk/intimidate cause physical harm
- Larceny
- Supply prohibited drug
He was refused bail to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court today (Wednesday 16 July 2025), where he was remanded in custody to appear at the same court on Wednesday 30 July 2025.
