The Crisafulli Government is delivering a better lifestyle through a stronger economy after securing $26.1 million in confirmed export outcomes for Queensland businesses following targeted trade engagement at World Expo 2025 Osaka.

The outcomes include $17.3 million in food and agri‑export deals, including beef, as well as new market access for Queensland honey, mangoes and wine.

It's just one of the ways the Crisafulli Government is delivering a plan for Queensland's future after a decade of decline under Labor, with additional negotiations now underway across agribusiness, education and advanced industries.

For Queenslanders, these export deals support local jobs, strengthen regional industries and give businesses the confidence to invest and employ by securing long-term buyers in a high-value market.

This approach marks a shift from the former Labor Government, which focused heavily on overseas engagement without the same emphasis on securing clear, measurable export results for Queensland businesses.

Trade and Investment Queensland worked with exporters through the Australia Pavilion to connect Queensland businesses directly with Japanese buyers and convert interest into signed agreements.

One Queensland company - LS Marketing Consulting - expanded access to Japan's premium wine market after taking part in the Taste of Queensland mission, securing new clients and partnerships with Granite Belt wineries.

The Expo outcomes build on Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training Ros Bates' mission to Japan and Taiwan in July 2025 for the International Education, Research and Innovation program, which has delivered a further $6.1 million in new partnerships, with more export outcomes expected through 2026.

Minister Bates said the export outcomes showed the Crisafulli Government was focused on trade that delivers clear results for Queensland businesses and workers.

"We are making sure trade activity leads to real deals, real jobs and real benefits for Queenslanders," Minister Bates said.

"These export agreements mean local producers have steady demand from a market that values quality and reliability.

"This is a clear shift from the past. We are focused on outcomes, not overseas trips that don't deliver for Queensland."
