Premier and Minister for Veterans The Honourable David Crisafulli
  • The Crisafulli Government opens nominations for the 2026 QLD Day Awards and All the Best campaign.
  • Queenslanders encouraged to vote for what they love about the Sunshine State, whether it's a perfect beach, camping spot or best pub in the neighbourhood.
  • Awards also call for Queenslanders to put forward a local legend or community hero so they can be celebrated.

Queenslanders are being called on to help celebrate what makes the Sunshine State great, with nominations now open for the 2026 QLD Day Awards and voting open for the All the Best program.

Both initiatives form part of QLD Day on June 6, shining a spotlight on the people, places and businesses that stand for what Queensland means and loves.

From selfless grassroots achievers, to local heroes and community volunteers, to our recognisable faces and organisations, the QLD Day Awards acknowledge the incredible contributors who make Queensland shine.

The Crisafulli Government's All the Best campaign returns in 2026, inviting Queenslanders to vote across 15 categories, from the best bakery to the most stunning beach.

Voting is now open, with each entry giving nominators the chance to take home a massive prize pack.

Premier David Crisafulli said QLD Day was a day to celebrate what makes Queensland the best place in the world to live.

"From your local pizzeria to your favourite beach, we want Queenslanders to share what they love most about our amazing State," Premier Crisafulli said.

"We're also calling on all Queenslanders to help us recognise our amazing community members and organisations by nominating them as part of this year's competition."

As the proud sponsor of the 2026 QLD Day Awards, national carrier Telstra acknowledged the vital role of Queenslanders who strengthened their communities every day.

"At Telstra, we're proud to support the 2026 QLD Day Awards and recognise the Queenslanders who go above and beyond for their communities. These awards shine a light on everyday community members whose contribution helps make Queensland such a great place to live," Rachel Cliffe, Telstra Regional General Manager QLD, said.

As the sponsor of the All the Best campaign, insurer Youi confirmed its commitment to celebrating the local businesses and places that Queenslanders love most.

"Youi is delighted to be working with the Queensland Government in support of the All the Best Campaign for Queensland Day 2026," Dave Annesley, Youi Head of Marketing and Communications, said.

"As a national insurer with a large footprint in Queensland, we're thrilled to partner on this campaign, shining a spotlight on small businesses and showcasing the very best our community has to offer across Queensland."

Queensland Day, held annually on 6 June, marks the date the state officially separated from New South Wales in 1859 and became an independent state.

Winners for All the Best will be announced on Wednesday 3 June.
