The Crisafulli Government's 2025-26 Budget lays the foundation for the fresh start Queenslanders voted for, addressing Labor's youth crime, health, housing and cost of living crises.
The Budget focuses on making Queensland safer, delivering a place to call home for more Queenslanders, driving down cost of living pressures for families, providing more free healthcare and building generational infrastructure for our growing State.
The Budget lays the foundation for safety where you live with more police, better resourced courts, effective early intervention and rehabilitation and increased support for the prevention of domestic and family violence.
A $5.2 billion investment in the Making Our Community Safer Plan will start to turn the tide on youth crime, helping restore safety where you live.
The Budget lays the foundation for a better lifestyle through a stronger economy with targeted and long-term cost of living relief, putting downward pressure on energy prices and easing pressure on rents.
A $100 Back to School Boost for every primary school student will help cover the cost of school essentials and the $200 Play On! Voucher Program will deliver accessible and affordable kids sport, offering cost of living relief for Queensland families.
The Budget is delivering a place to call home for more Queenslanders, with an $8.1 billion housing budget to boost home ownership and deliver more social and community housing.
A new nation-leading home ownership scheme, Boost to Buy, will reduce the deposit gap and open the door for first home buyers, together with boosted home owner grants and abolishing stamp duty on new builds.
A record $5.6 billion investment in new social and community housing and a $2 billion Residential Activation Fund will help deliver one million homes by 2044.
The Budget is delivering health services when you need them, with $1.7 billion to reduce ambulance ramping, $1.8 billion to stabilise surgery waitlists and $18.5 billion to deliver a fully-funded Hospital Rescue Plan.
The Budget lays the foundation of a plan for Queensland's future with a record $116.8 billion infrastructure investment to deliver the generational infrastructure in 2032 and beyond, including the $9 billion Bruce Highway upgrade, The Wave all the way to Sunshine Coast Airport, and Faster Rail to the Gold Coast.
15 new schools will help kids catch up, keep up and stay in school, including new primary schools in Caloundra South and Ripley Valley, a high school in Gracemere, and six new special schools.
To get on with implementing the 2032 Delivery Plan, the Budget delivers $4.7 billion over four years for venues and athlete villages.
By laying the foundation for Budget repair since Labor's Last Budget Update, forecasted debt is down to $190.4 billion in 2027-28, rather than the $217.8 billion it was set to reach under the former Labor Government – delivering on our commitment for lower debt.
The Budget also delivers on the Crisafulli Government's commitment of no new or increased taxes.
Premier David Crisafulli said the Queensland Budget was Delivering for Queensland.
"This Budget is delivering the foundation for a fresh start for Queensland," Premier Crisafulli said.
"We are delivering a plan to restore safety where you live, delivering a plan to restore health services when you need them, delivering a better lifestyle through a stronger economy and delivering a plan for Queensland's future.
"This is a delivery Budget that puts our promises into action and sets the foundation for the fresh start our State needs."
Treasurer David Janetzki said the Budget charted a path to budget repair while delivering on election commitments for the services, programs and infrastructure Queensland needs.
"We promised a calm and methodical approach to the Budget, to begin the challenging task of budget repair, and develop a plan to improve the lives of Queenslanders," Mr Janetzki said.
"This Budget presents a credible pathway back from the fiscal vandalism of the former Labor Government, it delivers responsible, targeted and timed cost of living relief, it saves infrastructure projects that would never have been built, and it funds the services and jobs that Labor failed to.
"The Budget paves a pathway to Budget repair which sustainably funds the programs, services and infrastructure needed to lay the foundation of a fresh start for Queensland's future."
Finance Minister Ros Bates said Queenslanders asked the Government to restore respect for taxpayer money and the Crisafulli Government's first Budget delivered on that promise.
"This Budget restores respect for Queenslanders' money, while delivering the services, programs and infrastructure Queensland needs now and in the future," Minister Bates said.
"Queensland is open for business under our Government, and with this investment certainty we are attracting new trade opportunities to help deliver a better lifestyle through a stronger economy."
