Quick arrest after servo robbery, South Australia

A man has been arrested after allegedly trying to rob a service station at Elizabeth South a short time ago.

It will be alleged the man entered the service station on John Rice Avenue, Elizabeth South about 3.30pm on Monday 13 April, threatened the staff member with scissors and left empty-handed.

Fortunately, no one was physically injured during the failed robbery.

Police responded quickly and located the suspect nearby on Commercial Road.

The 40-year-old Windsor Gardens man was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. He will be refused police bail and is expected to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court tomorrow, Tuesday 13 April.
