Quick response by public, patrol and police dog leads to arrest, SA

A quick response by Police after a call from a vigilant member of the public has lead to the arrest of a 23-year-old man, according to SA Police.

About 3.20am this morning police were called to Davenport Street in Banksia Park after a man was seen trying to break into cars.

Police patrols conducted a search of the area while Police Dog Argus tracked a scent to Hancock Road where a man, matching the description provided by the member of the public, was located.

The man from Gulfview Heights was arrested and charged with unlawfully on premises and interfere with motor vehicle. He was granted bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 24 February.
