Raptor Squad officers have charged three men following an alleged pursuit with a 'kill car' in Sydney's west this afternoon.
About 2.25pm (Saturday 11 April 2026), officers attached to State Crime Command's Raptor Squad attempted to stop an allegedly stolen Audi along the Great Western Highway, Wentworthville.
When the driver allegedly failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated.
During the pursuit the occupants of the vehicle were seen allegedly throwing jerry cans from the vehicle onto the M4 Motorway, near Silverwater.
The vehicle stopped after it was rammed by Raptor Squad officers – with assistance from Cumberland Police Area Command and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command – along Hill Road, Lidcombe, after which the three men ran from the vehicle.
Police – with the assistance from officers attached to PolAir, Dog Squad and Auburn Police Area Command – arrested all three men nearby after a foot pursuit.
The three men – one aged 28 and two aged 24 – were uninjured and taken to Auburn Police Station.
During a search of the Audi, Raptor Squad officers allegedly located a semi-automatic rifle, a pistol, and cloned number plates.
The firearms, the vehicle – reportedly stolen from an Edmonson Park address in March 2026 – and the plates were all seized for forensic examination.
Following investigations, police charged all three men with possess unregistered firearm-prohibited firearm, possess unregistered unauthorised pistol in public place, possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
The 28-year-old alleged driver received two additional charges for drive conveyance taken without consent of owner and police pursuit - not stop - drive recklessly and had two outstanding warrants executed for assault and domestic violence offences.
The two 24-year-olds were also charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.
All three were refused bail to appear before Bail Division Local Court 7 tomorrow (Sunday 12 April 2026).
