Penrith's iconic Real Festival once again transformed the Nepean River into a vibrant hub of creativity, entertainment, and community spirit.
Over 3 days between 12-14 September, thousands of visitors enjoyed an unforgettable weekend of live performances, interactive art, family-friendly activities, and delicious food along the picturesque Tench Reserve.
This year's program featured an incredible mix of experiences, including illuminated art installations like Celestial Canopy by illuminart, Evanescent by Atelier Sisu, the interactive sound playground HEXADECA, and an ever-popular arcade zone. Families embraced hands-on creative workshops, while food lovers explored a global culinary journey with cuisines spanning Hawaiian, Asian, Turkish, African, German, and Greek.
Penrith Mayor Todd Carney said the event was a celebration of local creativity and highlighted the vibrancy of our city.
"Real Festival is more than an event - it's a showcase of what makes Penrith unique. It brings our community together, supports small businesses, and provides a platform for artists, performers, and makers to shine," Cr Carney said
"Events like this strengthen our local economy and create opportunities for small businesses to thrive while delivering an unforgettable experience for residents and visitors alike."
Over 50,000 people attended the festival across the 3 days, reinforcing its reputation as one of Western Sydney's premier events.
Penrith City Council thanks its event partners and sponsors, including Busways, Western Sydney International Airport, Blue Mountains Gazette, and The Western Weekender for their support in making Real Festival 2025 a success.
