Reappeal for public assistance after sexual acts on buses - Police Transport Command

Police are again appealing for public assistance after receiving further reports of a man performing sexual acts in front of passengers while travelling on buses in the inner-city area.

Just after 2pm on Friday 5 February 2021, a man travelling on a bus between Enmore and Redfern performed a sexual act in front of a passenger before alighting on Cleveland Street, Redfern.

The matter was reported to police and officers from the Police Transport Command North Central Sector commenced an investigation.

Police are investigating a link between the incident and other reports of sexual acts committed on public transport between February and March this year at Newtown, Broadway and Sydney's CBD.

As investigations continue, police have released new CCTV images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man depicted is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 60s, of medium build, with greying black hair and a grey beard.

He is shown wearing either an orange or lime green jumper, a green shirt, cream/brown pants with a brown belt and green thongs or grey shoes. He wears a scotch pattern hat with the graphic "AUS" on the front and a face mask.
