Rebels OMCG member charged over drug supply, NSW

A member of the Rebels OMCG will face court today after being charged with drug supply offences, NSW Police say.

Based on information received, police from the Gangs Squad’s Strike Force Raptor commenced an investigation into the supply of methylamphetamine and cocaine in the Sydney Metropolitan area and across the state.

Following extensive investigations, a 46-year-old man was arrested during a vehicle stop on the M1 at Ourimbah, about 1.30pm yesterday.

During a search of the vehicle, police located methylamphetamine in a hidden compartment.

The man was taken to Wyong Police Station and charged with indictable drug supply and commercial drug supply.

He was refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court today.

His 15-year-old son, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was later returned home by police.

Following the arrest, police from Strike Force Raptor subsequently executed a search warrant at a home on Carrington Road, Bringelly.

Officers located mobile phones, methylamphetamine, cocaine, steroids, a BB pistol, a replica Colt 45 pistol, cash, and Rebels OMCG paraphernalia. The items were seized for further forensic examination.

Investigations are continuing, and further charges are expected.

Strike Force Raptor was established by State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad in 2009. It is a proactive and high-impact operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and any associated criminal enterprises.

Anyone with information to assist police is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
