Everyone loves seeing records tumble, including us!
More than 21,000 visitors to our Hawkesbury City Council Pops-Up at the Show display at the Hawkesbury Show on the weekend saw us smash our previous record of 17,000 at last year's show.
We also celebrated being awarded a second-place display ribbon by the show committee, making it four years in a row we have received a ribbon!
Once again, our award-winning passport activity was a smash hit with 1,500 visitors of all ages taking up the challenge to collect stamps from our emergency service partners and winning a fun prize. We also gave away 1,000 plants thanks to our Hawkesbury Community Nursery team.
Other exciting numbers include:
- 600 free desktop garbage bins given away
- 500 kids completed the construction zone obstacle course
- 398 visitors knocked on the Hi Neighbour door and told us what makes a good neighbour
- 301 visitors gave feedback on their priorities for the Hawkesbury
- 286 visitors gave suggestions for future customer service pop-up locations
- 100 mums scored a free cupcake on Mother's Day and many more posed for a photo in front of the special Hawkesbury Remakery flower display
- 87 visitors told us their big ideas for local arts and culture
- 60 discount adoption vouchers were claimed from the Companion Animal Shelter team.
- 10 Council teams in attendance to make it all happen.
Council's next major engagement event is Hawkesbury Fest on Sunday 3 August 2025 at Governor Phillip Park. Hawkesbury Fest is a fun family day out, filled with Council and community service displays, local stallholders, food trucks, emergency services displays, carnival rides and more!
