Record-Breaking Hawkesbury Show Pop-up Success

Mayor Les Sheather and Council staff celebrate winning the ribbon with the 2025 Hawkesbury Show Ambassadors. Everyone loves seeing records tumble, including us!

More than 21,000 visitors to our Hawkesbury City Council Pops-Up at the Show display at the Hawkesbury Show on the weekend saw us smash our previous record of 17,000 at last year's show.

We also celebrated being awarded a second-place display ribbon by the show committee, making it four years in a row we have received a ribbon!

Once again, our award-winning passport activity was a smash hit with 1,500 visitors of all ages taking up the challenge to collect stamps from our emergency service partners and winning a fun prize. We also gave away 1,000 plants thanks to our Hawkesbury Community Nursery team.

Other exciting numbers include:

- 600 free desktop garbage bins given away

- 500 kids completed the construction zone obstacle course

Bee stilt walkers entertain the crowds outside Council's tent- 398 visitors knocked on the Hi Neighbour door and told us what makes a good neighbour

- 301 visitors gave feedback on their priorities for the Hawkesbury

- 286 visitors gave suggestions for future customer service pop-up locations

- 100 mums scored a free cupcake on Mother's Day and many more posed for a photo in front of the special Hawkesbury Remakery flower display

- 87 visitors told us their big ideas for local arts and culture

- 60 discount adoption vouchers were claimed from the Companion Animal Shelter team.

- 10 Council teams in attendance to make it all happen.
