A man is currently in custody following an alleged shooting in Red Cliffs this afternoon (30 October), Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told an 82-year-old woman was located with a fatal gunshot wound at a Snowy Avenue property about 12.30pm.
Later in the afternoon, a man was found deceased at a NSW property on Rufus River Road, west of Mildura.
A 58-year-man was located at a property near Lake Victoria, NSW about 3pm.
He sustained what is believed to be self-inflicted injuries and has been taken to a Victorian hospital in a critical condition under police guard.
The exact circumstances are yet to be determined, however police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incidents.
All parties are believed to be known to each other.
Homicide Squad detectives from both Victoria and New South Wales are continuing to investigate.
