A Redcliffe resident is $1 million richer after coming forward to claim their win in a Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw that took place three weeks ago. The Moreton Bay player held the sole division one winning entry in draw 4315, which was drawn on August 23, 2023.
The winning entry was not registered, leaving lottery officials waiting for the winner to come forward. The individual has chosen to remain anonymous and has not disclosed how they plan to use their newfound wealth.
The ticket was bought at Midway News on Oxley Avenue in Redcliffe. Deepak Rawat, the store's owner, said it was exciting to have sold the division one winning ticket, especially since the last major win at his store was a $50,000 top prize on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket last year. "On behalf of the entire Midway News team, we wish our winner all the best with their prize and hope their dreams come true," Rawat said.
Anna Hobdell, spokesperson for The Lott, said, "While we don’t know how they’ll celebrate their extraordinary prize, there’s no doubt their head was spinning when they realized they’d receive $1 million in their bank account this September."
The winning numbers for the draw were 13, 9, 14, 7, 20, and 30, with supplementary numbers 33 and 27 in Draw 4315.
