Redfern RES charge third person after investigation into cocaine supply - SF Almac

Redfern Region Enforcement Squad investigators have charged a third person as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs.

In April this year, detectives from Redfern Region Enforcement Squad (RES) established Strike Force Almac to investigate the supply of cocaine across Sydney.

Following inquiries, strike force investigators arrested a 29-year-old man and 28-year-old woman at Kingsford last Wednesday (29 July 2020).

The pair were charged and remain before the courts.

Following further investigations, detectives arrested a 27-year-old man on Montgomery Street, Kogarah, about 1.40pm on Friday (31 July 2020).

The man was taken to Kogarah Police Station and charged with supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity) and supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity).

Police will allege in court that the man was involved in the supply of 3kg of cocaine with an estimated potential street value of $630,000, and 34kg of cannabis with an estimated potential street value of $300,000.

The Peakhurst man appeared at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday 1 August 2020, where he was formally refused bail to reappear at Waverley Local Court today (Tuesday 4 August 2020).

Investigations by Redfern RES are continuing.
