Reflections Country Parks Gear up

for Easter and School Holidays

With school holidays and Easter approaching, Reflections Holiday Parks is inviting families across NSW to connect for a discounted holiday on Crown land and experience the many events on offer across regional NSW. Reflections Holiday Parks is supporting the NSW Government's three voucher schemes for accommodation bookings and recreation activities, with almost 6,000 'Parents NSW', "Stay NSW' and 'Discover NSW' vouchers redeemed at its parks since February. Minister for Lands and Water Kevin Anderson said the travel vouchers were proving popular with NSW families taking affordable breaks at Crown land holiday parks. "It's great to see these NSW Government vouchers supporting regional tourism and jobs by helping people get out and about to enjoy our beautiful regions," Mr Anderson said. "Caravan and camping provide the perfect getaway for families to enjoy quality time together, and Reflections has 37 holiday parks and 43 community reserves on Crown land in some of the state's most spectacular locations, with profits reinvested back into the parks." Lake Keepit Manager Leith Smith said Reflections Country NSW parks are perfect places to enjoy the many seasonal events on offer while creating special family memories. "Our country parks have plenty of accommodation to enjoy a caravan and camping adventure, but cabins book out fast," Mr Smith said. "The Easter school holidays are a fun time with so many community events, markets and things to do, so guests will be spoilt for choice." Reflections Holiday Parks Lake Keepit is an easy drive from Tamworth which will host the Toyota Country Music Festival from 18-24 April, including a Community Day on Saturday 23rd with live music and market-style artisan wares, arts, crafts and community stalls. The Tamworth Regional Heritage Festival from 22 April – 1 May will feature over 30 events, open days, tours and displays. Australia's biggest line dance festival at Tamworth's Australian Country Dance Festival – Mayworth will be held from 12-15 May. Lake Keepit fishing enthusiasts can take part in the 'Carp We Don't Keepit' Easter Weekend Carp Muster fishing competition at the dam run by Lake Keepit Fishing Club, which encourages everyone to have a go and a great day out with the fishing competition. Fishing is a major drawcard for all Country Reflections parks, with fishing competitions especially popular during the holiday period. The Burrendong Easter Fishing Classic on the Easter long weekend is perfect for guests of Reflections' Central West parks at Lake Burrendong and Mookerawa Waters. The event attracts thousands of anglers to Lake Burrendong for catch and release supporting the Inland Waterways Rejuvenation Association. The 2022 PIRTEK Fishing Challenge is a national competition at fishing hot spots on 23-24 April, including all Reflections Holiday Parks, to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and Peter Duncan Neurosciences Research Unit at St Vincent's Hospital. Mookerawa Waters park is ideally located for guests from the Dubbo region to enjoy the Man from Ironbark Festival on 16 April at Stuart Town celebrating its connection with Banjo Patterson's poem 'The Man from Ironbark'. Guests of Reflections Holiday Parks Cudgegong River can enjoy the Mudgee Farmers' Markets and Makers' Market on 16 April, a guided Farm Walk on 17 April, and the Gulgong Folk Festival on 16 April. At Reflections Holiday Parks Burrinjuck Waters in South West NSW, you can experience a range of community markets including Yass Community Markets (2 & 16 April), Yass Swap Meet and Yass Riverbank Markets (24 April), and Murrumbateman Village Markets (9 & 23 April). Also, the free 5km Yass Riverbank parkrun is held each Saturday at 8am. The Cowra Japanese Garden and Cultural Centre is open all year and is a stone's throw from Reflections Holiday Parks Wyangala Waters, with their Autumn Festival (Koyo Matsuri) held on 4-5 May a must for visitors to the region. The 37 coastal and country Reflections Holiday Parks offer a range of accommodation available from cabins, tiny homes and glamping tents to powered and unpowered sites.
