Police have charged a woman with possessing an unregistered firearm after seizing a replica pistol during a car stop in Sydney’s west last night, NSW Police say.
Just before 10pm today, officers from the Police Transport Command stopped a car on the Great Western Highway at Werrington.
Police located the replica pistol and a small amount of what’s believed to be methylamphetamine in the car, arresting the two occupants and taking them to St Marys Police Station.
The driver, a 40-year-old woman from Werrington, was charged with possess unregistered pistol and refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow.
The passenger, a 19-year-old man, was released pending further inquiries.
