Crime Stoppers NSW and NSW Police were at Wagga Wagga on Thursday 26th March 2026 to connect with the community and talk all things crime prevention and reporting.
Whether its crimes like property theft, assault or online crimes, cyberbullying and scams, Crime Stoppers and NSW Police are urging the community to report what they know.
"We often see people are willing to share information on social media, for example with online community groups, so neighbours and the local community are aware of what's happening in their neighbourhood. And while that information can help be aware of suspicious activity, sharing that information with Crime Stoppers ensures it's passed on to police so the appropriate action can be taken", said CEO, Crime Stoppers NSW Peter Price AM.
Crime Stoppers provides a simple gateway for the community to report this information and ensure the information is shared where it counts.
"Our website makes it easier for the community to report information, in a safe and secure way," added Mr Price.
Crime Stoppers and NSW Police engaged with the Wagga Wagga community, giving away free merchandise and information to assist in preventing and reporting crime and criminal information.
Riverina Police District Commander Superintendent Andrew Spliet said Crime Stoppers is a vital tool for police.
"The community are our eyes and ears, and their information is often the crucial piece of the puzzle when it comes to solving crimes.
Crime Stoppers is that important conduit between the community and police, allowing us to gather information quickly and anonymously, if needed."
Reporting what you know can make a difference. It's your community, it's your call.
There are many different ways the community can report crime in their area including PAL, their local police station, Crime Stoppers and Triple Zero for emergencies.
Report any theft, any time, to PAL on 131 444 - and report suspicious or actual criminal information to Crime Stoppers at https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/ or call 1800 333 000.
