Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after a rescue boat was stolen in Port Melbourne on 28 August, Victoria Police say.
It is believed unknown offenders have used a white utility to break through a fence of a Lorimer Street marine facility between 1.30 and 2am.
The offenders then used the ute to remove an inflatable rescue boat, with motor attached, and its trailer.
Investigators have released images of the boat, motor and a vehicle seen in the area at the time of the theft.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
