The City of Ballarat is undertaking a resealing program for Wendouree Parade to upgrade the pavement for all road users.
The treatment is a two-seal program which involves 14 millimetre and 7 millimetre stone which will provide a flexible pavement for this principal road around Lake Wendouree.
The treatment is the most appropriate treatment for both cars and cyclists.
An asphalt treatment is inappropriate given the significant trees around the lake.
Following the completion of the seal, the road will be swept a number of times to address loose stones and deliver the best usable surface as soon a possible.
The City of Ballarat is asking for patience from all road users to allow this enhancement to be undertaken in the short term.
