Shortly after midnight this morning, officers from Tasmania Police and the Tasmania Fire Service attended a residential fire in Stephen Street, East Devonport.
An estimated $200,000 damage was caused to the residence. Damage was also caused to a neighbouring business.
Two occupants were home at the time the blaze began. One sustained a minor injury to his hand as he left the property.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
Tasmania Police would like to speak with anyone who has information regarding the fire or who observed anyone in the vicinity of Stephen Street at the time the fire started.
