Residents Hear Outcomes of Community Consultation Reports

Following a series of community engagement opportunities Swan Hill Rural City Council is pleased to present two community consultation outcomes reports for the Swan Hill Tourism and Cultural hub and the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery redevelopment.

Council's Mayor Cr Les McPhee said that Council had recently undertaken extensive consultation, both online and at a series of focus group sessions to seek feedback from our community regarding design ideas for the Swan Hill Tourism and Cultural hub and the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery redevelopment.

"Council invited members of the community to provide feedback on building design ideas – prior to initial building concept designs being prepared.

"We received some really great feedback during face-to-face focus group sessions and via online feedback from our Let's Talk platform.

Cr McPhee extended his thanks to everyone that had participated in the consultation process, so far.

"Thanks to everyone who has provided us with your feedback so far, there were some really great ideas and I look forward to seeing how the architects incorporate the ideas into the designs.

Cr McPhee said to ensure that we have captured absolutely everything, we are offering residents the chance to provide additional feedback on these reports.

"If we have missed anything, now is the time to let us know.

"Consultation will be open online on our Let's Talk platform and we will be again, hosting face to face sessions on Thursday, 23 March - I encourage anyone with an interest in either of these building projects to come along.
