Kempsey Shire Council
Recent severe weather and surf conditions in May and June have caused significant coastal erosion at Grassy Head, rendering the beach access points currently unusable.
To address this, Council will begin repair works on the public access point from Grassy Head Reserve on Friday 4 July and Monday 7 July. These works will extend the existing ramp, providing a temporary fix to restore safer access for the community.
A full assessment is expected take place next week, as Council and contractors work to identify a suitable long-term solution.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation. For your safety, please follow all posted signage and avoid areas that have been taped off.
