After recent enquiries, we reviewed the extent of the indemnity cover provided by Civil Aviation Advisory Publication (CAAP Admin-01) and determined that proficiency checks were not covered.
As a result, we have extended the indemnity coverage for flight examiners conducting proficiency checks and granting endorsements. Previously, the indemnity only extended to flight tests and granting ratings.
The explanatory sections of CAAP Admin-01 have been amended to refer to conducting proficiency checks and granting endorsements.
CAAP Admin-01 includes the extended cover and is available on our website.
