Richmond arrests

Officers from Melbourne Divisional Response Unit have arrested four people following an operation targeting alleged drug traffickers in Richmond on Wednesday.

Three men and a woman were arrested and are facing charges for trafficking heroin and breaching Chief Health Officer's directions.

A 44-year-old man from Melbourne has been charged with trafficking heroin, possess heroin, deal property suspected of being proceeds of crime, commit indictable offence whilst on bail and failing to comply with the Chief Health Officer's directions.

A 53-year-old man from Kensington has been charged with trafficking heroin, possess heroin, deal property suspected of being proceeds of crime failing to comply with the Chief Health Officer's directions.

A 48-year-old man from Avondale Heights has been charged with trafficking heroin, deal property suspected of being proceeds of crime and failing to comply with the Chief Health Officer's directions.

The three men are expected to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court this evening.

A 22-year-old woman from Richmond was released pending summons.
