Rider Dies After Motorcycle Crash - Albion Park

A rider has died after crashing in the state's Illawarra today.

About 7.50pm (Friday 30 May 2025), emergency services were called to Terry Street, Albion Park, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District and the Dog Unit arrived to find a motorcycle had crashed after leaving the road.

The rider – a 17-year-old boy – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious injuries before being taken to Wollongong Hospital where he later died,

Police have established a crime scene and detectives have commenced an investigation into the incident.

As investigations continue, detectives are urging anyone with dashcam vision, CCTV footage or information about the incident to contact Lake Illawarra Police.

A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
