Redhead Road and Oakdale Road have reopened after the weekend fire. The Fernleigh Track from Redhead to Whitebridge will remain closed until our crews can check it thoroughly for damage and assess the risk of falling burnt trees. Thank you for your patience.
Sunday 7 December 2025:
A bushfire burning at Redhead has resulted in several road and shared pathway closures.
Redhead Road at Redhead and Dudley, Oakdale Road at Gateshead, and the Fernleigh Track from the Station Street entrance at Whitebridge all remain closed to ensure the safety of residents, road users and emergency crews responding to the fire.
Council is continuing to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates as they become available.
