Road death total amended, South Australia

The number of lives lost on the State's roads has been amended to 20 following investigations into a fatal crash in Highbury last month.

The incident occurred just after 4.30pm on Thursday 27 February, patrols and paramedics were called to Lower North East Road near the intersection of Paradise Grove, after a car hit a tree. The driver and sole occupant, a 21-year-old Banksia Park man was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where he sadly.

Following an investigation, the young man's death will not be counted in the 'Lives Lost' road total. Lives lost on the state's road is now 20 compared with 22 at the same time last year.
