Road Rage Incident - Percy Street at Bellerive, TAS

Police are investigating a road rage incident in Bellerive this morning during which a driver was allegedly threatened by another motorist holding a knife, Tasmania Police say.

Police were called to a disturbance in Percy Street, Bellerive opposite the Bakery about 11.30am today.

Two vehicles were involved being a white Toyota Hilux and a white Toyota Camry. The driver of the white Toyota Camry was in possession of a knife and yelling at the occupant of the Toyota Hilux.

The driver of Toyota Camry left the scene and was intercepted a short time later by police. The driver was a 29 year old Glenorchy man and was arrested for behave in a violent manner in a public place and possession of a dangerous article in a public place. The male was bailed to appear at the Hobart Magistrates Court.

Police are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident in Percy Street, Bellerive to contact A/Sergeant Robert Bessell at Bellerive Police Station on 62302111 or information can be provided anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers.
