Roads re-opened following crash at Port Wakefield, South Australia

Police are investigating a serious crash at Port Wakefield last night.

About 9.20pm on Wednesday, 13 February police and emergency services were called to the Copper Coast Highway about 5 kilometres north of the Port Wakefield township after reports that two cars had collided.

The driver of the silver Ford sedan a 70-year-old woman from Maitland was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where she remains in a serious condition. The driver of the Mazda a 70-year-old man was taken to Wallaroo Hospital with non-life threatening condition.

Road restrictions were in place for several hours while Major Crash Officers investigated the circumstances of the crash.
