Roadworks Over Next Two Weeks

MidCoast Council

MidCoast Council is planning road, bridge and footpath works for locations across the MidCoast over the fortnight.

Our fortnightly update gives you a rough guide of where we'll be working. At some of these locations, there may be delays, though most will be minor. The schedule can be affected by things like poor weather and contractor availability. We provide additional, separate updates with specific details on significant projects.

Road reconstruction: Kolinda Drive, Old Bar; Bushland Drive, Taree – Lawson Crescent to North Street; Upper Myall Road; The Bucketts Way (overtaking lane); Patsys Flat Road, Smith Lake; Boomerang Beach; Coomba Park; Smiths Lake.

Footpath construction: Blackhead Road footpath; Marine Drive footpath.

Major natural disaster projects: Thunderbolts Way – Leslies Bridge northern abutment, landslip repairs north of Giro, pipe repairs; Craven Creek Road; Westleys Road – bridge signage repairs; Webeck Bridge, Scone Road; Tipperary Road Bridge clean up; Oxley Island drainage; Koppin Yarratt Road; Newmans Road; Redhead Road roundabout.

Maintenance Work: There will be pothole patching in various streets in Wingham; Manning River Drive; Pampoolah; Gloucester (The Bucketts Way and Thunderbolts Way); Scone Road; Kimbriki Road; Firefly; Wherrol Flat Road; Lansdowne Road; Wallanbah Road; Ibis Avenue; various sites across Bulahdelah; various sites across Stroud; The Lakes Way; Coomba Park Road; Seal Rocks Road; Black Head Road.

It's important to remember that pothole patching is a temporary solution to improve road safety in the short-term. Teams work quickly to fill as many potholes as possible when weather permits. The ongoing wet weather has made it difficult to attend to all the pothole locations. More permanent solutions such as the square-shaped repair called 'heavy patching' is undertaken when weather conditions and funding permit.

Maintenance grading (unsealed roads) Nowendoc Road; Wallanbah Road; Days Road; Glen Cush Road; Hilltop Road; Wards Creek Road; Sawpit Road; Rapids Road; Cooks Road; Curricabark Road; Cockadilly Road; Norries Road; Prices Creek; Manning Hill; Nevilles Road; Booral Washpool Road; Blackcamp Road; various roads across Failford and Nabiac.

Roadside vegetation management: Elands area; Kimbriki; Gloucester Road; Coomba Road.
