Robberies northern suburbs, South Australia

Police are searching for a suspect believed to have committed aggravated robberies on two petrol stations in the early hours of this morning.

Just before 2am on Saturday 11 April, a man entered a service station on Bridge Road at Pooraka and threatened the attendant with a screw driver. He stole an amount of cash before leaving on foot. He was last seen heading east on Beovich Road at Ingle Farm.

Two hours later, just before 4am, a man entered a petrol station on Hampstead Road at Broadview and threatened the attendant with a screw driver. He stole an amount of cash before leaving the area on foot and was last seen walking west on Watson Avenue.

Fortunately, both attendants, although shaken up by the incident, were not physically injured.

One man is believed to have committed both robberies and is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, approximately 40-years-old. He was wearing a green long sleeve green camouflage hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants and white sneakers.

Police searched the surrounding area after both incidents, but did not locate the suspect.

Crime scene investigators are attending and examining both scenes this morning.
