Robbery and affray charges in Surfers Paradise, QLD

Three men from New South Wales have been charged with robbery and affray offences following an incident in Surfers Paradise early yesterday morning, Queensland Police say.

Between 3am and 3.30am, a man was approached as he was walking along Surfers Paradise Boulevard.

It will be alleged he was hit multiple times and demands were made for his wallet before he was able to run away.

A short time later, it will be further alleged a second man was involved in a physical altercation whereby he sustained facial injuries.

Two men, aged 18 and 19, are scheduled to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today charged with attempted robbery and affray.

A 20-year-old man is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today charged with attempted robbery.
