Robbery and assault police charges in Eight Mile Plains, QLD

Police have charged a woman following two incidents in Eight Mile Plains yesterday evening, Queensland Police say.

At around 6:40pm two women entered a bottle shop on Padstow Road.

It will be alleged as one woman spoke to a male staff member the other woman stole alcohol before threatening the staff member and fleeing the scene.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

At around 8:30pm police were called to a disturbance in a park on Logan Road in Eight Mile Plains where they located a woman who had allegedly been involved in the earlier robbery.

As police were taking the woman into custody it will be alleged she spat in a male officer’s face.

It will be further alleged the woman spat on another officer when she was taken to the Brisbane City Watchhouse.

A 24-year-old Brisbane City woman has been charged with two counts of assault police and one count of armed robbery.

She is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 4.

Investigations are continuing.
