Robbery and threats in Maroochydore, QLD

Sunshine Coast detectives investigating a robbery at a Maroochydore business on Sunday morning, May 27 have released images of three people who may be able to assist them with their investigations, Queensland Police say.

Two men and one woman entered a Dalton Drive hardware store around 8.30am where police allege both men concealed property, one an axe and the other a radio, and attempted to leave the store without paying.

Police will further allege that staff confronted one man as he was leaving the store and he handed over the radio.

The second man returned to a vehicle parked in the carpark, where staff challenged him about the property, with police alleging he threatened both male employees and produced the axe.

All three then left the carpark in a blue Holden Commodore sedan bearing stolen Queensland registration plates 542-XTU.

Around 9.35am that morning police attempted to intercept the vehicle on Aerodrome Road, Alexandra Headlands. The vehicle, which had been parked, drove off at speed, leaving one of the males behind. The other two occupants, a man and woman, fled in the Commodore.

Anyone who may any information which could assist with this investigation is asked to contact police.
