Robbery on Bus in St Albans, VIC

Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a robbery on a bus in St Albans last month, Victoria Police say.

Whilst travelling on the 418 bus route on 23 November, the victim was approached by four men who boarded the bus on Alfrieda Street, St Albans at around 3.20pm.

The offenders demanded money from the victim and searched the victim’s backpack stealing an iphone from the bag and a watch from the victim’s wrist.

Shortly after, the victim got off the bus and was walking towards the St Albans Library when the same group of offenders surrounded him.

The offenders escorted the victim to an unknown street nearby away from the main road and assaulted the victim.

Demands were made of the victim to produce a sum of money the following day with threats made if he didn’t comply.

The victim received minor injuries.

One offender has been identified.

Police are appealing for anyone with information as to the identity of the other men to contact Crime Stoppers.
