A man has been charged following a service station robbery at Kilburn last night.
Just after 10pm Saturday 20 February police were called to the Churchill Road business after reports that a man had entered and assaulted the attendant before stealing a packet of cigarettes and leaving on foot. He was last seen heading north on George Street.
The victim, a 59-year-old woman, received minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
PD Havoc searched the area but did not locate the suspect at this time. Just after 11pm patrols located a man matching the suspect's description on Nelson Street. On his person police allegedly located the stolen packet of cigarettes.
The 20-year-old Munno Para man was arrested and has been charged with aggravated robbery and theft. His was refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday 22 February.
