On Tuesday 20th September 2016 Police were called to the University of Tasmania Newnham Campus in relation to a robbery, Tasmania Police say.
At approximately 4.30pm the female was walking towards the carpark area after visiting friends. The female was confronted by a youth who demanded her mobile phone. A short time later the female was pushed to the ground and her mobile phone was stolen.
Launceston Detectives has charged a 14 year old male youth with the Robbery. The youth has been remanded in custody to appear in the Youth Justice Court tomorrow. The female did not receive any injuries.
